Our Operational Team

Reinhard07-1

Reinhard Schäler is founder and director of the Localisation Research Centre (LRC) at the University of Limerick (UL) and the founder and president of The Rosetta Foundation.

He has been involved in the localisation industry 1987. He is the founder and editor of Localisation Focus - The International Journal of Localisation, and has been an editor and editorial board member of localisation-related publications, such as JOSTRANS and Multilingual. He is a founder and CEO of The Institute of Localisation Professionals (TILP), a member of the OASIS Technical Committee on the XML-based Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF), and has coordinated a localisation stream for the Unicode Conferences. He is the Localisation Area Leader of the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL). He believes that lack of access to knowledge and information, lack of localisation, can kill, and would like to make “Localisation for all” a reality.
