Alan Barret received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin. Alan has worked in the computer industry in a variety of technical and managerial roles. His experience covers process control, networking software development, computer hardware development and operating system development. He was until recently director of technology in Lotus's international product development group (part of the IBM software group).He has now retired from IBM and is working on open source web applications as well as pursuing interests in windsurfing, mountain walking and consciousness studies. He lives in Dublin. His role in The Rosetta Foundation is to help guide the development of required software. |

Brian Kelly is Business Development Consultant. He is currently Chairman / Director of Breakout Interactive Ltd – an emerging technology development company in the consumer electronics market. Up to Dec 08 he was a Director of Lionbridge International. Brian became part of the Lionbridge team in the role of Chief Operations Officer - Europe in 2005 with the acquisition of Bowne Global Solutions. Brian had served as the Senior Vice President of Europe since joining Bowne as part of the Berlitz GlobalNet (BGN) acquisition in 2002. He was Senior Vice President of the European Division of BGN, a position he had held since January 1996. From 1993, he was the General Manager of Berlitz's Translations Services Europe. Prior to Berlitz, Brian served as Managing Director of Softrans International Ltd., an Irish localisation company, which was acquired by Berlitz in 1991. He founded Softrans in 1984, and before that, held senior management positions with Apple Computer and Data. He is a believer and supporter of The Rosetta Foundation. |

Mahesh Kulkarni is Programme Coordinator at the Centre for the Devlopment of Advanced Computing (CDAC) in Pune, India, and leading the Foundation's technology development efforts.

Stephen Roantree 15 years working in Senior Localization Management positions for both Symantec and AOL. He has rolled out several large scale enterprise wide Translation Management Systems, holds both PMP and PRINCE2 project management certifications and is programme manager within The Rosetta Foundation. |

Páraic Sheridan is Director of Operations at the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL), a large-scale collaborative research centre funded by the Irish Government through Science Foundation Ireland (SFI). CNGL supports over 100 academic members on a programme of industry-focused research across four Irish universities in collaboration with nine localisation industry partners. Research spans language technologies, such as machine translation, digital content management and localisation standards and workflows. A key part of Páraic's role at CNGL is to foster and maintain the relationships between the centre's academic community and industry partners, and the localisation industry more generally. At The Rosetta Foundation, Páraic helps to develop the Foundation's social entrepreneurship agenda. |
